Cichora Prime

The layer between the city and the stars: one quiet old dwarf, one drowned capital world, and an orbital civilisation that arrived as a ship and never left.

Cichora Beta (chart-code Δ-9, spoken-name Cichora Prime) is a 7.1-billion-year-old K-dwarf, far too old and too quiet to belong to the young cluster blazing behind it. That quietness is the whole point: a stable old star let an oceanic world hold a megacity of eight billion, and the corridor made it the capital of its far reach. The system carries three population centres: the planetary megacity of Rezo Thorn, the Civic Ring of the orbital station, and the mining belt of the Seven Halo Chain.

What follows is the in-system population, drawn straight from the locked system codex: the bodies, the orbital station, the industrial cluster, the gateway, and the single road off-world. (The cluster, the fortress Seat, and Mirfak belong to the sector one zoom out.)

Δ-9 — orbital chart

Orbital chart of the Cichora Beta / Δ-9 system A top-down schematic centred on the K2 V star, with Rezo Prime in the warm inner zone, a metal asteroid belt at 2.5 AU holding five of the Seven Halo Chain stations, the cold-Jupiter Δ-9-e with two Trojan stations, a sparse cold Kuiper belt at 25–35 AU, and the ET-014A fold-arrival node at 30 AU. The Ring — spindle-station of Rezo Prime

The Ring — the stacked spindle-station in Rezo Prime's geosynchronous shell A vertical schematic of the orbital station above Rezo Prime: a spindle rising from the geosynchronous shell carrying, from base to tip, the shuttle entry, two agro rings, the Corporate Ring, the widest Civic Ring, Port Ascendancy, and the Spindle that holds the three Triad Cores of the governing Ennead. Jiff's Orbital sits off to one side in the same shell. The bodies & the orbital civilisation

Δ-9-b · capital world

Rezo Prime

warm oceanic · 0.96 g · ~1.1 M⊕ · ~8.3 bn

~85% ocean, constant overcast, the drowned world that carries the megacity Rezo Thorn. Census: ~2.6 bn PoH-active, ~4–5 bn non-PoH, ~1–2 bn synthetic/forked. The planetary interior is its own set of maps.

The orbital Ring · System-L2 seat

“We Are Never Truly Alone…”

geosynchronous ~39,170 km · Ennead (2-of-3)

The stacked spindle-station that administers the megacity from orbit: Agro rings, the Corporate Ring, the population-bearing Civic Ring, Port Ascendancy, and the Spindle carrying the three Triad Cores. Arrived as a ship and became the spine.

Industrial cluster · 3rd population centre

The Seven Halo Chain

HC-1…5 belt ~2.5 AU · HC-6/7 at Δ-9-e Trojans

The system's extraction-to-manufacture backbone: bulk metal and staged composites in the warm belt (HC-4 the Stage-V / Orbital CVD complex, HC-5 the miners' civic hub), He-3 scoop and cold volatiles out at the cold-Jupiter Trojans. Runs its own CICH-Halo L1 chain.

Cold Jupiter

Δ-9-e

gas giant · L4 / L5 Trojan stations

The outer giant whose Lagrange points anchor the two Trojan stations of the Halo Chain. The only body besides Rezo Prime with a registered economic role in the system's seven-planet, eight-body architecture.

Jiff's Orbital

“Space-trash Sector 4” · debris slot

A fringe perch a fraction of a degree along the geosynchronous arc from the Ring: Rezo Thorn in continuous line-of-sight, but off-chain. Jiff's base of operations (with GARDENER-1), the ungoverned counterpart to the rings.

Belts

Warm belt · cold Kuiper

metal belt ~2.5 AU · Kuiper ~25–35 AU

A warm metal asteroid belt feeds the Halo Chain; a sparse, non-hazardous cold Kuiper-equivalent rings the system at 25–35 AU, leaving the 30 AU fold-arrival lane clear. (No “Trace Halo”; retired from canon.)

Gateway & navigation

The road in, the road out

ElementWhereRole
ET-014A (Etrution Node 3)30 AU from Port Ascendancystandard civilian fold arrival; ET-014A → Port ≈ 56 SD at economic cruise
18-node beacon latticeEtrution terminals → Rezo orbital spacelocal approach + 5D-displacement nav; run by the Civic Ring + Port Ascendancy
BR-006inbound trunk (from Nacara)the Core lane that reaches ET-014A, the capital's bandwidth lane

The one road off-world: Terminal Apex (the spire-top shuttle gate) → internal apex lift → shuttle → Port Ascendancy-Δ9 → Etrution fold → the corridor. There is no surface-to-orbit elevator; the tether is retired. This is the route Remial takes to board the Always Aspire (to Go Further) in the Epilogue.

The construction vessel that delivered the Ennead became the spindle on arrival. The MIND infrastructure came first; the orbital city was hung on afterward, as population justified it.
